April 2006 Newsletter

“Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountain is going home; that wildness is necessity; that mountain parks and reservations are useful not only as fountains of timber and irrigating rivers, but as fountains of life.”

-John Muir

Now that spring is here it is time for all of us over-civilized people to get out of town and hit the trail or water, to step out of our back door and enjoy this gift of wilderness that has been given to us. I for one will be making more of an effort to get out of doors and soak up those wonderfull spring rain squalls that the Olympics are so famous for!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank a superb employee and friend Jason Temple for his time and dedication to Wildernest and it's customers. Jason will be embarking on an epic journey for many months with his wife and fellow traveller Karen. Thanks for all you brought to the shop J.

I would like to also take this opportunity to formally welcome my wife Kerry to the shop, she has been a partner here for the last three years and has recently moved on from a long term career. She brings much Creativity, Vision and Passion to the shop. Stop by and welcome her when you get a chance!
