Mion sandals are made from medical-supply grade polyethylene foam and the break-in time is minimal. This means comfortable, durable, functional sandals right out of the box. The footbed works similar to memory foam mattresses and the insole compresses to your unique foot contour within 10 days. This is permanent so the shoe fits only you, hence the name Mion, which is pronounced “my own.”

The sole is also different. The rubber is nonmarking and the bottom is razor-siped in four directions. Mion calls this “quad-siped outsoles.” Most boat shoes with razor-siped soles only grip in a forward or backward direction.  Mion will grip securely in any direction. This means you will be safer and more comfortable wearing Mion footwear.

Mion sandals will also be great for paddlesports. The outsoles are durable for walking riverbeds and shorelines. The unique fit will allow for use in smaller kayaks and for kneeling thwarts while paddling a canoe. When it is time to upgrade, Mion should be your choice.
