Wildernest Staff Reviews the Orikaso Fold Flat Bowl

At just 1.022945101 oz. or 29 grams the Orikaso Fold Flat Bowl is to the light weight backpacker of today, what the frisbee was yesterday. This is the contortionist of backpacking bowls. I recently had the chance to test one of these on a backpacking trip along the coast of the Olympic Peninsula and I have to tell you I was impressed. I've been the tupperware bowl guy before (too 3-Dimensional) and I've also been the I'll eat and drink out of my mug guy (too much cleaning). My least favorite is the oops! I forgot my bowl I'll just eat all my meals out of a zip lock bag every day guy. I will not be reviewing that technique any time soon.

The Orikaso Fold Flat Bowl is great for several reasons, it folds flat for one, and therefore takes up a very small amount of space in my pack. It can also be used as a cutting board, very handy for us garlic fiends. The design is very cool and takes only a few seconds to break it down for cleaning. My recommendation is that you unfold all of the Orikaso products for cleaning or you wind up with old food left in the fold crevices. YUCK! I would grade "A" for it's cost, cleverness, and design.
