The Firebrand II toes the line between beefy boot and lightweight hiking shoe, with an upper made with stout, wear-resistant nubuck leather and textile panels. A rubber toe cap protects against scuffs and scrapes, while a waterproof insert shields against any rain or water your feet might encounter on the trail. The Firebrand II features Oboz's Sawtooth sole, which extends the lugs of the sole up around the sides of the shoe to offer additional traction when traversing side-sloping and deeply rutted trails. A nylon shank within the dual-density midsole increases stability when hiking between cairns across scree fields, and the BFit Deluxe insole offers a comfortable and supportive fit right out of the box.
